Miami cruise port, officially called PortMiami, is the busiest cruise port in the world by passenger volume. Millions of people pass through here every year, and nearly every major cruise line uses it as a home port.

Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean known for Seven Mile Beach, exceptional diving, and its role as a major offshore financial center. George Town serves as the cruise port, but there's no pier large enough for cruise ships.

Cartagena de Indias is a Caribbean port city of about 1 million people on Colombia's northern coast, and one of the best-preserved colonial cities in the Americas. The city has managed to grow as a tourist destination while keeping its Mexican identity intact, particularly in the Zona Romantica and the malecon (boardwalk) areas where local life and tourism coexist on the same streets.

One of Mexico's oldest beach resorts, Mazatlan's cruise port is walkable to the historic Centro Historico with its 19th-century architecture and vibrant Plazuela Machado. The city's famous cliff divers perform daily, and miles of golden beaches stretch along the coast.

Cabo San Lucas sits at the very tip of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. This is a tender port: ships anchor in Cabo San Lucas Bay and passengers ride small boats to the marina.

Los Angeles cruise port is in San Pedro, a harbor neighborhood at the southern tip of the city, about 25 miles from downtown LA and 18 miles from LAX. The port is called the World Cruise Center, and it's the main departure point for Mexican Riviera, Hawaii, and Pacific Coast itineraries.

Ships dock at Kahului Harbor on Maui's north shore, providing access to the stunning Road to Hana, the Haleakala volcanic crater at sunrise, and the historic whaling town of Lahaina. Maui's beaches are consistently rated among the best in the world.

Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii and the primary cruise hub for the Hawaiian Islands, serving as both the embarkation point for inter-island Hawaii cruises and a port of call on transpacific and repositioning itineraries. Ships dock at Honolulu Harbor's Aloha Tower or Pier 2, both within the downtown waterfront area and a short distance from Waikiki.

Papeete is the capital of French Polynesia and the main cruise hub for the South Pacific, on the northwest coast of Tahiti. Ships dock at the Autonomous Port of Papeete, directly in the city center, about a 5-minute walk from the central market and waterfront.

Brisbane cruise port is Queensland's main cruise hub and the primary departure point for South Pacific and New Zealand itineraries out of Australia's east coast. The Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (BICT) opened in 2020 at Luggage Point near the mouth of the Brisbane River, replacing the older Portside Wharf facility which had depth limits that barred larger ships.
