Dover is one of England's busiest cruise ports, sitting on the Kent coast at the narrowest point of the English Channel, just 21 miles from Calais, France. July and August are warmest but can be overcast and occasionally rainy since this is England. Rain is possible any month, and Dover's coastal position makes it windier than inland. May and June tend to be the driest months with the most pleasant conditions.
