Atlas Adventurer is the first of the Atlas-class luxury expedition sailing yachts from Atlas Ocean Voyages, scheduled to launch in late 2028. The 26,000 gross ton vessel carries up to 400 guests in 200 suites, served by 275 crew.
Built at WestSEA Shipyard in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, it combines a triple-masted carbon rig using SolidSail technology with dual-fuel Wartsila engines and ABB electric-hybrid propulsion backed by a 9 megawatt battery system.
The reinforced hull is certified to Ice Class 1B (Polar Category C), giving it a design speed of 16 knots and a sailing speed of 14 knots. Onboard there are seven dining venues, an interactive culinary studio, five lounges and two outdoor bars, plus a marina platform with an ocean pool and Zodiacs for expedition landings.
The inaugural voyage departs Kobe, Japan on 6 November 2028.
